Cut decay with coconut oil

New study proves coconut oil prevents tooth decay

It has already been established that coconut oil produces many benefits in the body which include shiny hair, beautiful skin, weight loss and management, stress relief and increased immunity. It also provides relief from kidney problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, bone strength and is antifungal and antibacterial. It has now been established that even with its myriad of health benefits, coconut oil also helps fight and prevent tooth decay!

The science…

Tooth decay is a common problem in America, and is caused by a substantial accumulation of bacteria that produces plaque, which turns to tartar which eats the enamel; causing cavities and decay. Scientists in Ireland have discovered that the oil, in the digested form, attacks the Streptococcus bacteria responsible for decay. By inhibiting the bacteria growth by utilising the oil’s antibacterial properties, the scientists saw a substantial decrease of decay!
